vista activation cut off

Vista Activation Cut-Off

I have a Vista Beta 2 License key for 10 machines, I have used it on two already (and activated).
I want to build a new machine and install and activate the install on this in a couple of weeks.
However, I recently read that all Vista users, should activate their copies NOW, because soon (perhaps July 14) activations will be cut-off. Is this machine/install specific, or will my key not work for *ANY* activation from that point?
This may mean I need to rush to build the machine, I dont want to build it and find that I cant activate Vista on it.

MS stopped giving out new product keys for Beta 2 on Friday, but there's no reason to think they'd stop activation on existing ones until the Beta expires next year. -- Michael Cecil http://home.comcast.net/~macecil/ http://home.comcast.net/~safehex/

Many people will have to reinstall Beta 2 after that date. I doubt very much that the activations will be cut off.

There was no reason to think they would download spyware as a critical update, either.

You're OK. Activation has nothing to do with the unavailability keys.

That date happens to be the date that they have listed as when they will take down the files for download..I think someone misunderstood and thought it had to do with activation..

I am not sure if you are responding to my comment, or the original poster...
This is from the Get Ready site.. "For registered customers who have received a Product Key the download sites will remain open until Friday, July 14."

Your comment. The rumor mill online is full of misimpressions about activation of Vista.
